The dates and locations of the swimming classes will be determined based on the online application. The recreational center closest to the applicant’s residence will be assigned, and the dates will be subject to the availability of each recreational center.
A one-time payment of $25 will be required once the scholarship is approved. This amount will be fully refundable upon completion of the swimming course and is intended solely for tracking attendance at the classes. In the event of unexcused absences from the classes, the money will not be refunded.
To be considered for a swimming scholarship, applicants must complete an online form. The decision regarding scholarship recipients will be determined internally by the Greater Atlanta Water Safety Alliance Foundation.
The information provided in the online application will be used solely to determine the scholarship winners and will not be shared with any external, public, or state entity.
Scholarship applicants may be children or adults. There will be no exceptions regarding the eligibility of the applicants.
The sole purpose of the scholarships is to assist the community, educate, and empower the recipients by teaching swimming skills.
The Greater Atlanta Water Safety Alliance Foundation reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of the swimming scholarships at any time without prior notice.
