Our mission is to ensure a future without preventable drownings, spread the joy of swimming and keep communities aware of recreational water illnesses.

Nuestra misión

GAWSA

The Greater Atlanta Water Safety Alliance was formed in the Spring of 2012 by Craig Sears. Its mission is multifold.
Join us as we combat drowning—the leading cause of accidental childhood death. Together, we’ll reduce its incidence and bring hope to families across Atlanta. But we won’t stop there. We’re determined to tackle the transmission of Recreational Water Illnesses head-on. By raising awareness and implementing effective prevention strategies, we’ll ensure that every swim is a safe and healthy experience.

How?

Our approach is hands-on and engaging. Through dynamic water safety seminars and workshops, customized for various groups within our community, we equip parents, children, property managers, and more with the tools to keep our pools and waterways secure. Drowning prevention, injury case studies, risk management—our free seminars cover it all. From reducing liability to lightning safety, we leave no wave unturned. The Greater Atlanta Water Safety Alliance is more than a mission—it’s a movement. We are a chapter of the National Drowning Prevention Alliance, fueled by the support of both them and Sears Pool Management Consultants, Inc. Together, we’re reshaping the landscape of water safety.
So, if you’re ready to embark on a water safety adventure, join us. Together, we’ll make a splash and protect the ones we cherish. To bring our life-saving seminars to your community, workplace, worship center, or school, dive into action by contacting Craig Sears at 770-993-7492 or [email protected]. Get ready to make waves with the Greater Atlanta Water Safety Alliance!
